TOUR ITINERARY: 7 DAYS IN MOROCCO

Day 01: :
Getting to Casablanca

To commence your 7 day Morocco itinerary, we’ll arrange an early pickup on the first day from either the airport, port, or your chosen accommodation in Casablanca. Casablanca stands as Morocco’s most sizable city and its central economic hub. Our initial destination is the Hassan II Mosque, which holds the distinction of being the largest mosque in the entire country. This impressive mosque sits on a promontory on the city’s western shoreline, providing picturesque vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll have the flexibility to savor lunch at your own leisurely pace. Subsequently, we’ll guide you through a tour of the city, making sure to include a visit to the striking Casablanca Corniche. Your overnight stay will be in a hotel.

Day 02: :
Casablanca _ Rabat the capital _ Chefchaouen

Following breakfast on the 2nd day of your 7 day Morocco itinerary, we’ll journey along the coastline to Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the present capital. Situated in the northwest of Morocco, you’ll explore the city’s highlights, such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. You’ll have some free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll travel north through Ouazzane to reach the enchanting Blue city of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains and renowned for its charming blue-painted buildings and narrow alleyways. Finally, you’ll spend the night in a hotel.

Day 03: :
Chefchaouen _ the Roman ruins of Volubilis _ Meknes _ Fes

On the third day of your 7 day Morocco itinerary, once you’ve had your morning meal, take some leisurely time to wander through the picturesque blue streets of Chefchaouen. Afterward, we’ll begin our adventure to visit the remarkably well-preserved ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a site of great importance recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Within, you’ll discover exquisite mosaics scattered about, as well as remnants of ancient pillars and archways. After our exploration of the ruins, we’ll embark on a 30-kilometer drive to reach Meknes, a city recognized as the Ismaili capital and one of the imperial cities of Morocco. In Meknes, you’ll have the opportunity to visit remarkable sites such as Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Our next destination will be Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Riad.

Day 04: :
Guided tour of attractions in Fes

On the fourth day of your 7 day Morocco journey, we’ll immerse ourselves in the captivating city of Fes, guided by a local expert. Fes is not only one of the imperial cities but also holds immense cultural and religious significance in Morocco.

Our day begins with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, followed by an exploration of the remarkably well-preserved medieval Medina, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you’ll encounter the enchanting Blue Gate, known as Bab Boujloud, which serves as the entrance to the labyrinthine network of alleyways and streets within the old Medina.

Inside the Medina, we’ll take in the sights of the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin mosque and university, hailed as the oldest university in the world. Following this enriching experience, we’ll depart the Medina to explore the Jewish quarter, also known as “the Mellah.”

To cap off our day of exploration, we’ll drive to an ancient fortress that offers a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, we’ll return to your Riad for a well-deserved rest.

Day 05: :
Fes _ Ifrane _ Cedars forest _ Midelt _ Ziz valley _ Merzouga Sahara

On the fifth day of your 7 day Morocco itinerary from Casablanca, we begin our journey after breakfast. We’ll head south, passing through Imouzzer to reach Ifrane. This city is renowned for its chilly climate, occasional snowfall, and its charming alpine-style houses, earning it the nickname “the Switzerland of Morocco.”

Next, our route takes us to the cedar forest, where Barbary macaques call home. While wandering through the forest, you’re welcome to feed these fascinating creatures. Following this delightful encounter, we continue our journey to Midelt, where you’ll have some free time for lunch.

Then, we embark on a drive to Merzouga, passing through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and tracing the picturesque Ziz Valley. Along the way, we’ll make stops to savor panoramic views of the landscape.

In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the enchanting Sahara desert of Merzouga. Here, you’ll switch to camels and journey across the sandy dunes. We’ll pause atop a high dune to witness the breathtaking sunset. Finally, we’ll reach our camp, a harmonious blend of traditional nomadic tents and the comfort of a hotel. Here, you can relish the captivating sounds of Berber drum music, dance around the campfire, and gaze up at the vast, starry desert sky. Dinner and your overnight stay will be in the camp.

Day 06: :
Merzouga Sahara _ Rissani _ Erfoud _ Todra Gorges _ Dades Valley 

On the sixth day of your 7 day Morocco itinerary, start your morning early to witness the stunning desert sunrise. After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, return to Merzouga on camelback, where your driver will be waiting. Depart the desert and head to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet, which remains a bustling trade hub in the region, hosting a vibrant souk three days a week.

Explore Rissani’s souk and then continue your journey to Erfoud, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble. Drive through the picturesque Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves, arriving at the Todra Gorges. These gorges have been carved by the Todra River, creating an impressive canyon with towering red cliffs, offering an ideal spot for rock climbers. Take some time to wander through the gorges and soak in the breathtaking scenery.

Enjoy a break for lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. Along the way, make stops at the iconic “monkey fingers” rock formation and a viewpoint overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally, conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable hotel.

Day 07: :
Dades Valley _ Roses Valley _ Palm Groves of Skoura _ Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- Telouet _ High Atlas Mountains _ Marrakech 

On the last day of your 7 day desert tour from Casablanca, we head to Kalaa Magouna to explore the Rose Valley, known for its annual Rose Festival in May. During the festival, locals showcase a variety of rose products, including perfumes, rose water, oils, and cosmetics. We then travel through the Skoura palm groves en route to Ouarzazate, where we visit renowned movie studios that have been the backdrop for many famous films.

Next on our itinerary is a visit to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic Kasbah has been featured in numerous movies like Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and popular TV series like Game of Thrones. We then continue our journey to Marrakech, passing through the scenic Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll make stops for lunch and photo opportunities at captivating locations. Finally, we arrive in Marrakech, where we’ll drop you off at the airport or your chosen accommodation, marking the end of our 7 day Morocco itinerary.
