4 Days Morocco Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga itinerary
Your 4-day Morocco desert tour departs from your hotel or riad at 7:30 AM, winding through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’ Tichka Pass, rising to 2260 meters above sea level, offering splendid views. We make plenty of stops to take in the scenery and capture photographs.
Arriving in Ouarzazate, we visit the Taourirte Kasbahs. Lunch is at your leisure before continuing the journey to Zagora through the Draa Valley.
This remarkable river has sustained a vast oasis of about 200 kilometers at the base of the Anti-Atlas mountains. The Draa Valley has been a home for Sahara desert nomads for many years. Along the way, numerous palm groves offer shade amid Kasbahs and Ksours, surrounded by fields of corn, barley, vegetables, and henna plantations.

Today’s journey takes you across the volcanic peaks of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, heading southeast through surreal landscapes dotted with isolated oases.
Lunch will be at the serene oasis of Alnif before continuing to Merzouga and then Erg Chebbi, the location of your Sahara desert camp. Upon arrival, switch to camel transportation for an Erg Chebbi dunes camel trek, offering an unforgettable view: Erg Chebbi’s mesmerizing sunset against the ever-changing sand dunes.
Return to the camp and prepare for a delightful Moroccan dinner under the stars while local nomads entertain you with their drum music. Take in the constellation of stars in the clear night sky before retiring for the night.
Following breakfast at your desert camp, embark on a drive along the scenic route of the 1001 Kasbahs, passing rivers, lush oases, and fortified Kasbahs on your way to Tinghir. Here, take a leisurely stroll through the oasis alongside the Todgha riverbank leading to the stunning Todrha canyons, where lunch will be served.
In the early afternoon, continue your journey along the picturesque Dades Valley, passing magnificent fortified Kasbahs and charming Berber Villages. As the sun begins to set, reach the Dades Gorges, capturing the breathtaking scenery and snapping some memorable photos.

Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a cooperative run by the rose water ladies, gaining insights into the traditional process of crafting rose water perfume essences.
Continuing your adventure, the next destination is Skoura oasis, renowned as one of the largest oases in the South. Depending on time constraints, you may visit one of the Kasbahs in the area before proceeding to Ouarzazate and the UNESCO world heritage site, Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou.
This fortified village stands as one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks and has served as the backdrop for several Hollywood blockbusters. Following a leisurely lunch in the Kasbah, the journey continues towards Marrakech, passing through the Tizi Ntichka pass and the majestic High Atlas Mountains.
