Our journey kicks off amidst the grandeur of the Atlas Mountains, renowned worldwide. The first breathtaking sight is the Tizi nTichka pass (2260m), where we’ll pause to visit various Argan oil cooperatives. Then, we continue onward to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its unique towers and clay architecture, often chosen as a stunning filming location. Here, we’ll pause to relax and explore this remarkable place.
Our expedition from Marrakech to Merzouga spans further as we head to a top restaurant in Ouarzazate for lunch, a stop akin to our previous one. Ouarzazate’s Atlas Studios, in Morocco’s cinematic hub, crafts films and offers equipment rentals. This city has been a backdrop for renowned shows and movies, notably hosting Game of Thrones and Prison Break. Following our visit to Atlas Studios, we’ll journey to Boumalne Dades, where we’ll spend the night in the enchanting Dades Gorges.
On the 2nd day of our 3 days excursion from Marrakech to Merzouga after breakfast, head towards Tinghir using the scenic 1000 Kasbahs route. Once at this breathtaking sanctuary, take a leisurely stroll along the Todgha River’s banks. Explore Berber villages and Ksours along the way. And when you reach the awe-inspiring towering cliffs of Todgha canyons, you’ll realize your morning adventure was truly rewarding!
Pause for a delightful Berber lunch at your leisure in the Gorges before heading to Merzouga. Upon arrival at Erg Chebbi, meet your camel caravan at the end of the road. Ride your camel through the ever-shifting dunes and witness an incredible sunset.
As the darkness begins to set in, arrive at your Sahara desert tent. After setting up camp, climb one of the nearby dunes to soak in the tranquil desert atmosphere. Enjoy a Moroccan meal under the stars, followed by a drumming session with the nomads around the campfire. Then, use the nearby dunes to witness an incredible display of shooting stars and crystal-clear constellations.

On the final day of our 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, following breakfast at your luxurious camp, you’ll hop on your camels and trek back to Merzouga. As you’re heading back to Marrakech, an early departure around 8:00 AM is necessary. Our return journey will take a different route, passing through the town of Alnif, where a lunch stop in Nkob awaits. Post-lunch, we’ll drive directly to Marrakech via the Ait-Saouen Pass. Your adventure concludes with your drop-off in the vibrant Red City of Marrakech.
